I’m so tired of being ignored by DR’s when I say I need help!

this is my story and welcome to it but
good afternoon
not a good morning because that is
already 4 o'clock and I haven't vlogged
today we are on our way to my doctor's
appointment to see what they're gonna
say I keep still spiking fevers I don't
understand it I don't get it I have been
around the clock taking tylenol and
ibuprofen trying to keep it down but as
soon as it wears off it goes back to it
can get down to like ninety seven point
six which is regular and it will spike
back up over a hundred as soon as the
medicine wears off and then all of a
sudden I'll just start getting like
these massive headaches begin my leg
will start burning and I'll just start
really feeling crappy again so I don't
know we'll see what they have to say
but I didn't really do any checking in
today because there wasn't really
anything to do and I took a lot of your
guys's suggestions and I just rested all
day I have been in my bed all day
besides to get up use the restroom and
that is it Ollie has been bringing me
all my food all my drinks he has been
catering to me and not letting me get up
just so I can keep my leg put up so I
have done all of those things so like I
said it's not you know I haven't checked
in because it really has not been any
excitement the doctors so I'm just gonna
do a complete update really quick
because I've had tons of messages
anyways they I've had multiple messages
asking like how I'm doing and stuff like
that which I am so thankful for but it's
probably just a million times easier
just to have like I finally just started
saying I'm just gonna update my book
because there's like so much that to
write it out of million times would
probably take me all night so yeah
that's where I'm at tonight um so okay a
little backlog yesterday the nurse
called me from my house from my doctor's
office and asked if I could come in at
ten o'clock in the morning if you
remember and I told her no that I
couldn't come in at ten because I had
Preschoolers you know but it was really
important for me to get in
yadda-yadda-yadda so I made the
appointment for today at 4:45 knowing
that traffic wouldn't be bad at that
point and Ollie would have pretty much
everything he needed to do done so 4:45
number well my physician was not going
to be able to see me so he requested for
me to see a different doctor and so I
went today and my vitals were 118 over
78 which isn't bad my temperature okay
and this is where it gets you my
temperature was 99.9 degrees so 100 you
know 100 that is an hour after I took
tylenol for my temperature that was at
103 or hundred yeah almost I heard
there's like 102.9 or something like
that so I get in there and the doctor
comes in and he's like totally like
almost clueless why I'm there and I'm
like well my doctor said I needed to do
a followup with you guys because of me
being rushed in by ambulance from here
to the hospital the other day so he's
like okay well you know what is it and I
told him what was going on what happened
and he looks at all my information on
the computer and stuff and he's like wow
I'm really surprised that they didn't
keep you it I would have imagined them
keeping you for at least a couple of
days on an IV drip for antibiotic and
I'm like yeah you know you're not the
first doctor to say that and I've
actually been told that a couple of
times that they were surprised I was
walking out of the hospital so anyways
oh I told him I said you know I've
recently lost a lot of weight my middle
part so my torso middle torso I guess
cuz my stomach kind of like curves in
twice the top roll as I call it it is
hanging down a little bit more so it's
kind of flopped over skin so it's
breaking down a little bit more even
though me and Ollie are constantly
drying it putting putting powder on it
I'm washing it I mean everything we can
do it's I'm doing everything to keep it
clean but it's breaking down
now today I noticed like on the ring
around my underwear that there was like
some green on it so it's a little like
it's like busted open there's an open
wound on both sides of my sides of my
stomach
so I told him that and I even had
pictures to show him like this is what
I'm dealing with and he looked at the
skin and stuff and he's like well that
is Oh it's somewhere on here give me a
you know paper of stuff that you look at
[Music]
it's called a anyways is basically like
a yeast thing or whatever and I said
okay I can you know I can take that but
what's gonna happen because I'm not only
fighting cellulitis infection but I have
two bacterial infections in my bladder
and now I have this skin irritation that
is an opened wound could this turn into
more of like a staph infection or
something I just don't want something
bad to happen and he's like well I'll
give you some it's called nystatin I
said okay I've had that before it
doesn't work but okay clearly at this
point I'm getting frustrated so I'm
getting really short with the doctor
that is typically not me you guys know
that like I'm not a person to get short
I'm not I'm not rude but I mean I have
literally been sick for over 200 over a
week and a half I am tired
I am physically mentally and emotionally
exhausted from fighting this and I just
want to feel better I just want to get
back to normal and how much is it to
really sit and listen to me and I'm
trying to advocate for myself and say
hey I'm concerned and this medicine
isn't doesn't work for me what can we do
so he says well I
give you nystatin lotion yeah because
it's gonna do a whole lot better back
okay and you guys the thing is my
bottles put away but okay the bottle the
little thing of cream is probably a
little bit maybe a little bit bigger
than my finger okay he prescribes one
bottle size my finger to be applied
around my whole round of my torso so
around the whole crease of the inside of
my torso three times a day for seven
days do you think that even one
application is gonna go around my entire
torso for one one even one Apple Kim of
course not that's why this infection
never clears up on my stomach because
they only prescribed one bottle maybe
two bottles if I'm lucky well that's not
gonna get me anywhere so I can't ever
keep up with the antibiotic because
they're not giving me enough and I tell
him this and it's like they don't hear
me so anyways he starts to check my leg
and he's filling around stuff and of
course I'm like mooing and on because it
hurts because of course anything that
touches it feels like they're pushing on
a huge bruise I'm sorry I took my
ibuprofen and makes me sleepy anyways
umm and he's like have you ever had a
blood clot before and I was like no and
he's like okay well I'm gonna go ahead
and I'm gonna order you an ultrasound
for the back of your leg for a blood
clot and I'm going to redo the blood
work to check your white blood cells
because they were elevated on Tuesday so
I need to make sure that they're coming
down because if they're not and they're
actually in fact rising that means we
need to get something more invasive
happening because it's not you know it's
not doing its job okay so he says let me
go out and get the order done and then
you know I'll be right back in okay
so the nurse comes back in I am but the
nurse and says well we can't do the
ultrasound here tonight because we don't
have a radiology or whatever they're
called person does an ultrasound and so
we're gonna send you to the main the
main clinic so that you can go and have
the ultrasound done okay
so then she goes back out I'm sitting
there she comes back in and says well
the radio or the lady there that does it
all just sound she can't stay late so
we're gonna actually call the hospital
and see if they can just go ahead and
get you in really quick and their
radiology okay then she comes back again
to tell me that Salem Hospital cannot
get me in tonight that I'm gonna have to
just go through the emergency room and
they can do the ultrasound there okay so
you're telling me that I have to go with
a low immune system because I am
fighting so many infections I've got
open wounds on my leg open wounds on my
stomach
I have a very low like I said immune
system and you're wanting to send me to
an emergency room full of sick people to
sit in there for at least four plus
hours before I'll even be seen to just
get an ultrasound to see if I have a
blood clot I looked at her and I was
like no first of all Friday nights are
the worst nights to go to the emergency
room because people get crazy around
here and the emergency room gets packed
and it's flu season and I am NOT going
to do this so I told her I said well I
said you know because I'm gonna be
sitting down at the emergency room for
god knows how long before I even get an
ultrasound because I'm not there for an
emergency so I'm gonna be stuck on the
bottom of the list and they're gonna
take obviously more important people in
which is fine I get it
why can't
I just be admitted to the hospital for
tonight and let me get my ultrasound let
you guys do my blood work do it all
needs to be done that way then I can
just have everything done but I don't
have to sit down in the emergency room I
can actually be up in a room because I'm
gonna be here anyways she's like well
that's a really good idea let me let me
talk to the charged person out in the
hallway she goes are there comes back
she's like I'm really sorry but we can't
do that I'm like okay she's like we
don't have the you know a chance we
can't admit you in from here into the
hospital I'm like yeah you can I know
you can because I've had my son Omar
I've had his the doctor our doctor the
he has sent us over to the hospital for
him to be admitted different times when
he was sick and also they've done it
with me when I have went in with
different things
my doctor will tell me head to the
hospital I'm calling them and letting
them know I have a patient on the way
that needs to be admitted so I know that
they can do it why they were telling me
they can't I don't know but I was just
getting so frustrated so I just looked
at her and I'm like so basically you
guys are wanting me to go sit in the
emergency room she was well I talked to
the the charged person in the emergency
room and he told me that there's 26
people that would be ahead are 25 people
ahead of you right now that would be
ahead of you if you're heading over
right now in that and you think about it
you guys think about it okay 25 you're
talking an hour to two hours per person
okay and you're gonna take maybe five
back at a time you're looking at at
least six hours if not more just for
waiting to get into a room she's like
but when you get in there they can
assess you and you know if they feel
that you're more of a you know higher
class patient basically that they would
put you more in the middle of the line
or whatever to get you back faster
because we you know we did four stat so
we
did it to where they would do it quickly
which is BS because no they won't I've
done that before too and they don't do
that they don't care that your doctor
sent you over here
they don't care you stand in line and
you wait until your name is called
so I just I was like whatever so I left
and I you know all he came and picked me
up and I just told him I said you know I
told him the whole story that I just
told you guys and he's like well what do
you want to do honey do you want me to
take you over there I'm like no I was
like I'm sorry but no I'm not gonna go
and sit it I'll go and sit at a hospital
for how many hours God knows with sick
people take the chances that I pick
something up and get staff in one of my
wounds all to sit there for an
ultrasound like if they cannot fit me in
somewhere then just forget it like I'm
not gonna do it and you know I asked him
you know I told him that I've been
running really high fevers that he don't
feel like the antibiotic that they're
giving me is doing the job right I told
him everything and I said you know
you're not the first doctor to say that
there you're kind of surprised that they
don't have me admitted into a hospital I
was like so I don't understand why all
of this is happening
and nobody's wanting to listen to me and
all he's just like you know he's like
Amy it's your call you you know whatever
you want to do I'll do that I'm like I
know you will I am not worried about
that but it's frustrating when you're
trying to advocate for yourself and
you're trying to get help and you're
trying to say hey I know something's
wrong and I need extra help and nobody's
wanting to listen to you so I told all
day I'm like well I'm gonna tell you
right now if something happens and I get
more sick or I get staph infection
somewhere where I shouldn't be getting
staph infection or you know god forbid
something truly happens I'm gonna go
after all of these doctors because to me
this isn't fair I have straight upset as
something that's wrong I'm not feeling
well I feel weak my leg feels like it's
like sometimes my leg the one that's
infected the cellulitis one it feels
almost like jello at times and clearly
that's not a normal thing you don't
normally have legs that feel like jello
but I do because my leg is
fighting an infection that it's clearly
not getting better so he just tells me
to go you know to go to the hospital are
the lady told me to go to the hospital
and do all that and then you know go
home rest and take you know my time and
all of those things so anyways basically
morale the story is they told me to go
to the emergency room to get an
ultrasound of my leg I refused I guess
you could say I refused medical
attention because I'm not going to put
myself in that position and I am going
to I am going to just hold it out for
the weekend and then when Monday comes I
can just call first thing in the morning
to try and get a same-day appointment
with my primary and I'm gonna talk to my
primary and let him know that I do not
appreciate how all of this went I don't
appreciate you know that I don't feel
like I'm being heard I don't feel like
I'm being listened to you know I'm
trying to take care of myself I am you
know now you know before I didn't care
so much I didn't care if I was sick I
think I mean yeah I cared in the sense I
didn't want to be in pain but why honey
what okay hold on
you know I before it wasn't that I
didn't care because I don't want to be
in pain
but I you know I didn't push for what I
felt or what I wanted done for myself
but here now I I am and now nobody wants
to hear me so it's just hold on honey so
I'm just clearly I'm frustrated I am
frustrated with today's visit to the
doctors because I just don't feel like
anything I but anyways I guess I'm just
um I'm more or less I'm just frustrated
all around today because they don't
understand what the today's appointment
truly was why did they have me come in
they didn't do anything for me nothing
they didn't do nothing
it was a waste of my time to get me out
of the house make me get in a car make
me drive to you while I didn't drive but
you know give me to a doctor's office to
sit there and wait to be seen all to be
tell me well you need to go the
emergency room in sit there for multiple
hours to just get an ultrasound like no
that's not I didn't go there for that so
yeah I am I'm just I'm tired I am tired
so I'm just hoping over this weekend I'm
just gonna take it easy and not do
anything and I'm just gonna try and see
if I can't kick this out of my body and
hope that my system will just strengthen
up enough to let me get back to normal
because I really really really need my
life back
like I don't want to be incompetent like
that I feel like I am back at square one
and I know I'm not but I just feel like
it because I'm happening to rely on
everybody to do everything for me again
and I don't like that because I love
being able to do my own thing so anyways
that is my update you guys I'm sorry you
know I know you guys understand so I you
know I don't have to apologize because I
know that you guys get it that why I'm
not getting my vlogs to be much um one
thing I was gonna say is I did not do my
Q&A today obviously just too much what's
going on so I think just if you guys can
keep pushing questions out keep putting
things out there that you want me to
answer and then when I get plenty enough
questions then I'll do it because I
don't want to set like a certain date
and then you know clearly not have it
but I want to have like quite a few
questions so I wrote down the ones that
I had gotten so far but I know that
there's probably more out there that
want to be asked so anyways I hope
tomorrow will be a better day for me I
am praying not a hike it up and feel so
much better tomorrow
um I did start my second antibiotic
because my pharmacy finally had it in
stock so I did start that tonight so I
have both of my antibiotics on board
along with all my other medicines that
I've been taking and I've been drinking
so much water today like this thing has
been filled up probably seven times and
this is a twenty Noah yeah a 24 ounce er
and I've literally drink it drink so
much water but it feels really good so
I've been really craving a soda today
though I don't know why I don't know
what my problem is I have not craved a
soda in over five months and today I
have been craving a soda like no other
but I think that's just because I
haven't had any of my flavored waters
that are like my soda kick I haven't had
any of that so anyways I am gonna close
my vlog here so I can get to my kids to
bed because I need some time well not
really downtime because I've really had
a lot of downtime but I really want to
have a little bit of time with my hubby
so anyways you guys I hope you guys
enjoyed this vlog I will keep continuing
to keep you guys updated as well as I
can I will check in with you guys every
single day letting you know what steps
I've taken in what I am up to until then
you guys take care of sweet dreams bye
bye
